Johnny Zuppardo, a Mississippi State basketball player, was arrested Sunday night for driving with a suspended license.
He was pulled over on campus for running a red light. His license was suspended for illegally fishing in Hattiesburg according to the Clarion Ledger.
MSU was aware of the arrest, but had not comment on the situation.
Zuppardo missed all of last season after tearing his ACL and meniscus in his left knee. The Bay St. Louis native transferred in from Jones County Junior College. He also played at Arkansas State and Southern Miss.
He signed with the Bulldogs last spring and was expected to make an impact during the 2014-15 season before the injury.
First-year head coach Ben Howland told reporters Saturday that he considers the 6-foot-9 forward a senior, but the Bulldogs are seeking a medical redshirt to give him another year of eligibility.
