Blog – MSU baseball drops in polls

After going 1-3 this past weekend, Mississippi State dropped in the polls.

The week started with a 3-2 loss to Arkansas Pine-Bluff. The Bulldogs then dropped a weekend series to San Diego. The only win was 4-2 on Saturday.

MSU felt the effects in the polls.

MSU dropped eight spots in both the Perfect Game and Collegiate Baseball polls. MSU fell from No. 14 to No. 22 in the Perfect Game poll and from No. 8 to No. 16 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.

MSU dropped seven spots in the D1 Baseball poll to No. 22. The Bulldogs dropped six spots in the Baseball America, USA Today/Coaches and NCBWA polls. MSU is now ranked No. 15 by Baseball America and NCBWA and No. 13 by USA Today.
