Blog – 8-0 start has MSU moving up in polls

After the first two weeks, Mississippi State is 8-0.

The Bulldogs took down Marshall and Alabama A&M this past weekend to cap another 4-0 home series. MSU beat Cincinnati and Miami of Ohio on the first weekend.

The Bulldogs continue to move up in the polls because of it.

The biggest move came in the Collegiate Baseball poll, as MSU moved from No. 18 to No. 14. State jumped from No. 21 to No. 18 in the Perfect Game poll, from No. 24 to No. 22 in the D1 Baseball poll and from No. 14 to No. 13 in the Baseball America poll.

The USA Today Coaches poll will be released again next week. The NCBWA poll had not been released yet, but the Bulldogs were No. 20 from last week.

MSU hosts Alcorn State for a midweek game Tuesday. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. Arizona and Samford come to town over the weekend.
