Play of the game: Junior Michael Smith had an RBI double to tie things at 2-2 in the third inning. MSU regained the lead after that and never looked back.

Big inning: 2nd: After Cincinnati scored two runs in the top of the inning, MSU scored three in the bottom of the bottom of the inning to take a 3-2 lead, a lead they never gave up. Smith, Josh Lovelady and Heck all had RBI hits.
