Blog – MSU kicker Sobiesk no longer on team

A team spokesperson says that Mississippi State sophomore kicker Evan Sobiesk is no longer on the football team.

He will enroll at dental school. Bulldog Sports Radio first reported the news over the weekend.

The Hattiesburg native was 12-of-14 kicking field goals, with a long of 45 against Ole Miss. He set the school record 59 point after attempts and 56 made PATs. He was 3-of-6 as a redshirt freshman with a long of 38 against South Carolina.

That leaves senior Devon Bell, sophomore Logan Cooke and sophomore Westin Graves at the kicking position.
