Mississippi State will play 56 regular season games during the 2015 baseball season, as the athletic department released the schedule Wednesday.
They will have 37 home games, 17 true road games and two in-state matchups at Trustmark Park in Pearl.
“It is a very challenging schedule as always and one we’re certainly excited about,” head coach John Cohen said in a school release. “With our 15 home games inside the nation’s toughest conference, along with a demanding 24-game homestand to open the season, we feel we have provided the very best season ticket opportunity for the greatest fans in college baseball.”
The Bulldogs will open the season with Cincinnati at home on Feb. 13. They will also play Miami, Ohio that weekend. The Diamond Classic present by Polk’s Meat Products will be Feb. 27-March 1. The teams featured are Arizona and Samford.
MSU opens the Southeastern Conference portion of the schedule with Alabama at home on March 13. They also host Auburn, South Carolina, Florida for Super Bulldog Weekend April 17-19 and LSU.
The Bulldogs travel to Kentucky, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
The Ole Miss and Tennessee trips come on back-to-back weekends to end the regular season.
