Redshirt freshman linebacker Dez Harris is out for the season with a torn ACL, Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen announced after Tuesday’s practice.
He becomes the fourth Bulldog to be lost for the season due to an injury. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Shelby Christy, sophomore defensive back Cedric Jiles and senior offensive lineman Damien Robinson have already been lost for the season due to injuries. There injuries were sustained before the season started.
Harris finishes with 10 total tackles this season.
Senior wide receiver Jameon Lewis has not played the last two weeks due to a right leg injury.
“Jameon, we’re resting again this week, but part of that is he is expected to be 100 percent next Monday when we start game week preparation,” Mullen said.
Junior punter Devon Bell hasn’t played in the last two games either after hurting his groin in warmups before the Texas A&M game two weeks ago.
“Devon was punting (Tuesday),” Mullen said. “He should start kicking on Thursday, so he should be cleared to go.”
