Blog – Mississippi State at No. 8 LSU

Records: MSU (3-0) LSU (3-0)

Kickoff: 6:11 p.m.

TV: ESPN

Stadium: Tiger Stadium

QB matchup: MSU junior Dak Prescott (43-of-72 for 696 yards, 9 TDs and 2 INT, 40 rushes 273 yards and 2 TDs) vs. LSU sophomore Anthony Jennings (27-of-52 for 566 yards, 5 TDs and 1 INT, 24 rushes for 61 yards)

Officials: Referee – Hubert Owens, Umpire – Russ Pulley, Head Linesman – Chad Green, Line Judge – Chuck Rice, Field Judge – Greg Thomas, Side Judge – Chad Hill, Judge – Dax Hill, Alternate – Steve Marlowe, Observer – George Ranager, Replay Official – Rocky D. Goode

One big thing to watch: MSU’s front 7 against the LSU rushing game: The Tigers have relied heavily on the running game in the first three games. The Bulldogs have done a good job of stopping the run in the first three games. This is definitely the best matchup in the game tonight.

Gameday surprise: MSU senior S Justin Cox is out for the second-straight game. He missed last week and wasn’t expected to play according to Dan Mullen earlier in the week. Kendrick Market or Deontay Evans will start in his stead.

Pregame song(s):

Although he’s from Texas, this song talks about ‘bound for Louisiana, Whiskey River Landing.’ I love Ryan Bingham and I hope you enjoy.
