Mississippi State junior Josh Robinson earned a place on the Doak Walker Award watch list, as announced on Thursday.
The Doak Walker Award is given to the nation’s top running back.
Robinson is expected to be the starting tailback this season for MSU. He rushed for 459 yards on 78 carries last season. He also added three touchdowns.
The Franklinton, La. native has played in 25 games during his time with Bulldogs, drawing two starts.
The PwC SMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors will announce the semifinalists on Nov. 18, with the Doak Walker Award National Selection Committee will vote to determine the finalists, who will be announced Nov. 24. The winner will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 11.
