No. 20 Mississippi State led Texas A&M 4-1 in the top of the seventh inning when weather forced the game to be suspended until Friday.
The two teams will meet back at 5 p.m. Friday, with game two scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., or whenever the first game is over.
The Bulldogs scored three runs in the bottom of the first, highlighted by Gavin Collins’ two-run single. MSU added another in the second.
The Aggies lone run came on a wild pitch by starter Trevor Fitts. Fitts had five strikeouts through seven innings of work before the weather.
