Blog – Mississippi State falls in polls

After going 2-3 this week, Mississippi State dropped in the major college baseball polls.

The Bulldogs beat South Alabama 3-0 on Wednesday, but then lost three-straight including two to UC Santa Barbara and one to Arizona.

MSU (12-7) did rebound on Sunday night as they beat Arizona to end the Hi Corbett Classic.

MSU falled from No. 14 to No. 23 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.

The Bulldogs went from No. 12 to No. 24 in the Baseball America poll, and dropped from No. 8 to No. 20 in the Perfect Game poll.

MSU returns to action on Tuesday when they play host to Southern Illinois. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. at Dudy Noble Field.
