Blog – Bulldogs drop in baseball polls

After a 2-3 week, the Mississippi State baseball team saw the consequences in the national polls.

The Bulldogs lost a midweek game to Memphis and then split a four-game series with Holy Cross over the weekend.

MSU is now 4-4 and the losses dropped them in the polls.

They fell from No. 5 to No. 10 in the Perfect Game poll. Baseball America dropped MSU from No. 7 to No. 18.

The biggest drop came in the Collegiate Baseball poll. They were No. 2, but after the rough week they are now ranked No. 18.

The Bulldogs play Mount St. Mary’s in a two-game midweek series tomorrow. They play Michigan State and Eastern Illinois this weekend.
