Pregame song(s):

Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen – One of the greatest baseball songs of all time.

Boys are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy – For obvious reasons, baseball season has returned.

What a Wonderful World by Sam Cooke – And since today is Valentine’s Day, here is a love song. This song also brings back memories of the movie Animal House, the food fight. Also Sam Cooke was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Just another great Mississippian grindin’ for his state.

One big thing to watch: Mindset: The Bulldogs were originally supposed to play Hofstra, but due to weather and travel conditions they didn’t make it to Starkville. The Bulldogs scheduled the Catamounts late Thursday night, not leaving much time to look at the opponent. MSU has to learn on the fly and will be feeling out the opponent tonight. It will be interesting to see how the Bulldogs come out and play with all the uncertainty.

Preview: Opening day adjustment: Bulldogs focused with a new time, a new opponent
