Quay Evans is no longer a part of the Mississippi State football program.
It was announced Wednesday morning that the defensive tackle had signed with West Georgia.
Evans played two seasons with the Bulldogs, but didn’t practice with the team during bowl practice this past December.
Evans was a top prospect two years ago, and decided to sign with MSU. ESPN and Under Armour ranked him in their top 150. MaxPreps listed him as the No. 4 defensive lineman in the country.
Evans struggled in his two seasons with MSU on and off the field. He played in just 15 games and recorded only 10 tackles.
Evans was arrested in October for a traffic violation and never returned to the gridiron for the Bulldogs.
