Although an official announcement will not be made until tonight, it looks like Mississippi State will be playing in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn.
Andy Burrell of localmemphis.com tweeted out this afternoon “Mississippi State will play Rice in the Liberty Bowl on New Year’s Eve.”
The Vanderbilt Commodores were also in consideration from the Southeastern Conference to play in Memphis, but the bowl committee decided to go with MSU.
An official announcement will be made tonight at 8 p.m. in the Leo W. Seal Football Complex. It will be open to the public.
