Mississippi State offensive coordinator Les Koenning has battled a lot of turnover with his quarterbacks this year.
He is doing it again this week, as it looks like true freshman Damian Williams will be making his first-career start.
Koenning told us that Williams is like a kid in a candy story when it comes to the playbook. he likes everything, but Koenning and the offensive staff would like to whittle that number down to fewer plays.
Senior running back LaDarius Perkins says Williams has meshed well with the skill players this week and he has been throwing some good balls.
Williams stayed after practice to work on routes with Joe Morrow, Fred Brown and De’Runnya Wilson.
