Play of the game: Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall hit C.J. Uzomah for an 11-yard passing touchdown to give the Tigers the lead for good with 10 seconds left in the game.

Big quarter: Third: MSU took an 20-14 lead early in the quarter. Auburn kicked a field goal to cut the lead to 20-17 entering the final quarter.

Stat of the game: 0-7: MSU’s stat on third downs in the second half.

Top Dawg: Dak Prescott: The sophomore quarterback completed 15-of-28 passes for 213 yards. He rushed the ball 22 times for 133 yards. He also scored two touchdowns on the ground. He is the first MSU QB to pass for 200 yards and rush for 100 since Chris Relf did so back in 2010 against Arkansas.
