One big thing to watch: The OSU offense against the MSU defense. The Cowboys bring an explosive offense to Houston. The Bulldogs secondary is the big question. The matchup between Cowboy WR and Bulldog secondary personnel will be the matchup of the day.

Gameday surprise: MSU sophomore defensive lineman Nick James and Quay Evans did not make the trip to Houston. Sophomore TE Rufus Warren did not make the trip. Eight true freshmen Ashton Shumpert, De’Runnya Wilson, Damian Williams, Fred Ross, Tolando Cleveland, Kivon Coman, Artimas Samuel and Chris Jones are here in Houston.

Video: MSU senior QB Tyler Russell and defensive coordinator Geoff Collins previews the matchup with the Cowboys.

Pregame song(s): Reckless by Aaron WatsonKiss Me in the Dark by the Randy Rogers BandRoad Trippin by the Josh Abbott Band – Since we are in Texas, we must do as Texans do. That includes Texas Country music. Here is a medley of some of my favorite bands in the genre, also some very good songs. I hope you enjoy.
