Play of the game: Wes Rea doubled to right in the eighth inning giving the Bulldogs a lead. He proved to the be the game winning hit.

Big inning: MSU scored three runs in the second inning. Sam Frost and Demarcus Henderson had RBI singles.

Stat of the game: 5-4: MSU is now 5-4 in CWS opening games. It is the first win for the Bulldogs in Omaha since 1998.

Top Dawg: Wes Rea: Rea was 2-4 with two RBI and delivered the game winning two-run double in the eighth inning.
