Play of the game: MSU turned a 3-6-4 double play on a sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning. UCA had runners on first and second with no outs. UCA’s Garrett Brown pushed the bunt down the first base line. MSU first baseman Wes Rea fielded the ball, threw to shortstop Adam Frazier who was standing on third for the first out and Frazier threw to second baseman Brett Pirtle who was standing on first for the second out.

Big inning: MSU scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Frazier had a RBI ground out, Alex Detz had a RBI infield single and Hunter Renfroe had a RBI double.

Stat of the game: 4: MSU committed four errors in the ballgame. They committed three of those errors in the fourth inning and two were committed by Graveman on one play.

Top Dawg: Wes Rea. Rea went 2-4 with two RBI and started the 3-6-4 double play.

What it means: No. 1 seed MSU will play No. 2 seed South Alabama tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the winner’s bracket. No. 4 seed UCA will play No. 3 seed Mercer in an elimination game tomorrow at 2 p.m.
