Blog – MSU’s Evans arrested on campus Wednesday

Mississippi State football player Quay Evans was arrested on campus Wednesday on suspicion of driving without a license and disregarding a traffic control device, records obtained from Oktibbeha County Jail confirmed.

Evans, 21, has been released.

The sophomore defensive tackle was suspended for last Thursday’s Kentucky game due to a violation of team rules.

Bulldog head coach Dan Mullen said after the 28-22 win over the Wildcats, that Evans would be re-evaluated in the next few weeks.

He didn’t travel with the team to Houston, Texas to take on Oklahoma State in the first game of the season.

Evans has played in just five games this season, recording three total tackles. He also has a tackle for a loss.

During his freshman season last year, Evans saw action in 10 games with seven total tackles.

  1. Will Quay make the trip to S.C. ? ? ? I watched him play at Morton , my home town when he was in HS . I expected more from him on this level .
